Dream detective makes headlines as a healer

ChrisRobinson1.jpgENGLAND.  Just days after being the subject of an hour-long TV documentary about his “dream detective” talents (click here for story), Chris Robinson was in the news again. The Sunday People (16 September 2007) devoted a whole page to another of his paranormal abilities – healing – featuring an apparent cancer cure in a young girl.

The exclusive report by Fiona Whitty said doctors have been stunned after an 11-year-old girl, Hayley Stokes, beat cancer after receiving healing from Robinson, a family friend who cleans offices by day. Even her hospital consultant describes it as “a miracle”.

Specialists had given her a less than 1-in-20 chance of survival due to a grapefruit-sized tumour in her pelvis that was too big to operate on. After six months of healing (during which time she also had chemotherapy) the tumour shrunk by 75 per cent and was small enough to remove by surgery.

Dr Anthony Micalski, Hayley’s consultant at London’s Great Ormond Street Hospital, told the journalist: “Hayley’s recovery is a miracle. The tumour that was removed was all completely dead. I’m not sure I’ve seen a complete clearance of the disease like this before.”

Hayley originally developed a tumour in her pelvis when she was four years old and was treated with chemotherapy drugs. A new tumour appeared in January and her survival chances were put at less than five per cent. Her parents were given two options: to try chemotherapy again or just to take her home.

They are naturally delighted that they chose chemotherapy, but with the addition of healing.

The tabloid newspaper published a life-size image of Chris Robinson’s hand, inviting its readers to place their hand on his and tell the paper if anything happened.
