US presidential candidate ‘had UFO encounter’

UNITED STATES. Dennis Kucinich, a Democratic presidential candidate, can expect to be grilled about UFOs following the revelation that he had “a close sighting” over the home of actress Shirley MacLaine.

In her new book, Sage-ing While Age-ing, she says he saw a gigantic triangular craft which hovered overhead, silently observing him for 10 minutes. “Dennis found his encounter extremely moving,” MacLaine writes. “He said he felt a connection in his heart and heard directions in his mind.”

The UFO then departed “with a speed he couldn’t comprehend”.

No date is given for this close encounter, except that it happened when MacLaine was living in Graham, Washington. The Hollywood star has been a close friend of Kucinich for decades, is his daughter’s godmother, and attended his 2005 Cleveland wedding to his third wife, Elizabeth.

Kucinich’s presidential campaign includes promises to bring American troops back from Iraq, reform of healthcare services and the appointment of a Secretary for Peace.

At MacLaine’s recommendation, Kucinich visited the New Mexico spiritual adviser Chris Griscom in the 1980s. Griscom was featured in her book, Dancing In The Light, in which she describes how he taught her to communicate with trees.

Newspapers which picked up on MacLaine’s revelation report that Kucinich’s presidential campaign and congressional office were not responding to calls and e-mails about the encounter.
