Healer and medium Bill Harrison commits suicide

HarrisonHealing.jpgUNITED KINGDOM. Family, friends and Spiritualist colleagues of West Country clairvoyant and healer Bill Harrison are coming to terms with his suicide on Monday (21 April). Confirming that his father had taken his own life, Sean Harrison, one of his two sons, told www.ParanormalReview.com: “He gave so much to others that he just didn’t leave enough for himself.”

Police were called to his home near Wedmore, Somerset, at 4.30pm on Monday and he was found hanged.

It is understood that police are not treating his death as suspicious. The Somerset West coroner, Michael Rose, is awaiting postmortem results before deciding if an inquest will be opened.

Bill Harrison gave up his fire-fighting career 23 years ago in order to devote himself to healing.  His website, announcing his passing, reports that he travelled and worked extensively, from the Great Wall of China to the witch doctors of Africa.

The author of several books and booklets on healing, he also distributed healing cards as a method of facilitating distant healing. It is reported that 78,000 healing cards were in circulation, some carried by British troops serving in Afghanistan and Iraq.

HarrisonBill.jpgBill had a busy schedule ahead of him, including healing weekends and a five-day healing course together with Jayne Heaslip (both members of The Healers International Network – THIN) at his cottage in Blackford. He was also planning two demonstrations with psychic artist Patrick Gamble at Farnham, Surrey, Awareness Workshops with Gamble and medium Ron Lines in June, July, August and September, and a three-day Open Weekend at his home in July involving many mediums and healers.

Patrick Gamble told us he had felt “numb – totally shocked” since hearing the news of Bill’s death. “I had been in touch with him virtually on a daily basis and, although he had seemed a little down recently, there was no indication that he was contemplating such an action. I’m devastated.”

Though Bill’s loyal sons Sean and Steven were not involved in his work they were supportive of their father’s activities. They, their wives and children will miss him greatly, as will the many people who sought his healing and spiritual guidance.

Some who worked with him were reluctant to speak to www.ParanormalReview.com on the day after his death, perhaps because they were so shocked that Bill Harrison felt it necessary to end the life he had dedicated to helping others.
