Medium 'sees' fugitive’s hideout

JVPHeadshotBio_Shad.jpgUNITED STATES. When police at a roadblock in Chautauque County stopped medium James Van Praagh he discovered they were searching vehicles for a man who had shot two state troopers. According to an Associated Press report (Newsday.com, 2 September), Van Praagh immediately began getting psychic impressions about the crime and offered suggestions about where they should be looking for the attacker.

Van Praagh, co-executive producer of the CBS series “Ghost Whisperer”, as well as a platform medium of repute, told the police that they should be checking a white house with cellar doors, possibly belonging to the girlfriend of Ralph “Bucky” Phillips, the fugitive they were hunting.

The state troopers were critically injured while staking out the home of Phillips’ ex-girlfriend.

“A white house, shutter doors like tornado doors, that’s what I was getting strong,” Van Praagh said later, after conducting a seminar at the Lily Dale Spiritualist Camp. “He’s underneath something – a basement. He’s underground, that’s very strong. They should check friends of the girlfriend.”

Van Praagh also warned that he might try to make his escape by concealing himself under the bed of a truck in the evening.

State police spokesman Rebecca Gibbons said she was not aware if police had or will seek psychic input in the case.
