I am 76 years old and have always felt that I lived before in the 19th Century. Not as a man, but as a woman named Eliza.
About 20 years ago I purchased a daguerreotype that looked amazingly like the actor Paul Newman. This impressed me so I began seeking other photographic images from the 19th and early 20th centuries that looked like other contemporary film stars. In a period of more than ten years I was able to collect photos that look like the TWINS of Garth Brooks, Drew Barrymore, Harry Connick Jr., Tyne Daly, Mel Gibson, Ed Harris, Gene Kelly, Nicole Kidman - in all over 75! These incredible look-a-likes have been showcased in Globe, Entertainment Weekly, Star and etc.
However, none of these magazines has viewed this as a possible link to the theory of reincarnation, but as an oddity. Does anyone reading this have any viewpoints. If so, please share them with me.
Thanks,
Ward

In reference to an article I came across this morning.
Two boys and two past lives
http://www.paranormalreview.com/reincarnation/two-boys-two-past-lives-and-confusion/

I was drawing some images: an unusual mountain, a train going through a tunnel an old western looking township, and few other items. I then went to a place called Mt Shasta and on the way I saw all these things I had drawn. And some of them were quite unique and unmistakable, specifically one of the mountains that looks more like a pile of rocks than a mountain.

I had a dream that a fountain did not work, and a reference to finding something near a stream in a hidden valley. On my trip I stopped at a quaint place, it was a town called Dunsmuire. In this town, there was a fountain, as in the dream, it was not functional anymore. It was named the three Graces. I felt at home in the area, very at home.

I was lead to believe that something happened there and that it was the original site of a less than positive event in the past. The specific words were related to "the place where the poisoning began". Though there apparently was a toxic spill there that took out the fish and killed just about everything in the river, the date was off – it was too recent. So I feel it was likely a more metaphorical reference and may have pertained to the actual dream reference below.

I stayed in a hotel out of town, and had another dream. In this dream I was sleeping with a woman and someone barged in. I do not know if the woman was married or not but it was a male figure that barged in on the scene. Later I came to realize that I was being lead around by my dead grandfather who I did not know so well in this life, though I met him several times I did not really know him at all.

I consider the possibility that sometimes our ancestors may be the ones that need to work things out and do so through the "sensitive" people in the family who can pick up on such things. It is possible that the boy in the above link was not actually the reincarnation of the guru mentioned, but rather that his ancestor was and might have been working through the boy as a channel of sorts. And that, by going to that location, something in his core or family's core group of mems (parts of the alaya conciousness) woke up in him.

My friends...How can you question the different frequencies and the different life expressions? You are experiencing one...while all around you others are experiencing theirs. Guess what? They are alike and yet different. The difference lies in the attitudes and beliefs we incorporate through the mind and the concepts it holds.

A closed mind does not experience growth. An open mind can and does. Since we create our own reality through the concepts, attitudes and beliefs we hold...ergo; the differences in understanding and experiences.

We either experience reincarnation...or our mind/spirit/soul has the ability to insert itself into the memories and recall of one who HAS lived that life. Thus...the knowledge and memories produced and displayed.

I have recall of several prior lives including one (to my amazement) as a siberian tiger. Those memories and experiences have all contributed to who and where I am at the moment in my spiritual progression. That's what this life expression seems to be about...development and progression.

Read the book "Message To Irene" to learn a bit about our transitions and the attitudes we should hold while expressing here.

If there is a Universal Mind and because children are more innocent and open to the activities around us, the taking on of others' personalities might be the childs' ability to tap into the overarching Mind on Earth and in the remainder of the Universe. Perhaps this is what Osel was experiencing as a babe or was taken to be experiencing.

****There is always a search for truth or validity. The real question is, what is the value of the answer one way or another. We tend to attempt to hold on to what we perceive as pure, but that is mostly subjective. A friend of mine hates it when I say this, but everything is true from a point of view and that really is what matters. Everything is a part of the whole or God and everything comes back in some form and is not require to be approved when it does. MS

EAST AND WEST
by
Stephen Contrado, B.A., Th.M.

There are two important issues here: (1) Is reincarnation true, and(2) Is this a conflict between East and West being played out in the medical establishment and the the media?

Osel Hita Torres' choice to study and live in Spain doesn't disprove
reincarnation. Nor does it discredit Tibetan Buddhism because Torres
sounds like his Tibetan Buddhist upbringing was in some way a positive experience for him.

The rivalry between Eastern and Western beliefs sometimes gets aggressive. Torres' case seems in part like an instance of cultural conflict.

The East and West have two different but complementary notions about human existence. Intelligent Westerners such as Carl Jung and Joseph Campbell have helped the West appreciate Eastern philosophy and beliefs.

It's important to promote good relations between the East and West.
Certainly the issue of reincarnation (an Eastern belief) should not be used to instigate trouble or establish cultural supremacy.

You can read more about Buddhism and promoting good relations between East and West at the Tarot Forum at www.tarotforum.webs.com. -- Stephen Contrado, B.A., Th.M.
